Even when she wasn’t depressed, Dorothy wasn’t exactly a good tenant, and management couldn’t count on her to pay the bill. Around Christmas one year, a friend asked Dottie if she was going to hang up a holiday stocking in her room. “No, I’m going to hang up [manager] Frank Case instead” was the ready reply.
